What to Expect

The Ouzoud Waterfalls, Morocco’s highest, cascade 110 meters over striking red rocks into a serene lake. On sunny days, the mist creates beautiful rainbows in the air. At the base of the falls, cheeky Berber monkeys, accustomed to tourists, add a lively touch. The area is surrounded by fig trees and lush vines, with opportunities to cross the river by a small ferry for a small tip and climb the stairs on the other side.

The small town of Ouzoud, about 200 km northeast of Marrakech in the Middle Atlas, is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. Your visit typically starts at the large parking lot above the falls, where you’ll find a path lined with souvenir stalls and cafés. Enjoy breaks at charming reggae-style cafes along the way!
